How IMEI checking works
Every mobile device has a unique IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. The first 8 digits are called the TAC (Type Allocation Code), and they identify the brand and model of the device — not the individual unit. IMEICHECK.IN validates your IMEI's check digit using the Luhn algorithm, then looks up its TAC against our database to show you the device's brand, model, and specifications.
Buying a used phone?
Confirm the IMEI on the box matches the model actually in your hand before you pay.
Format supported
15-digit IMEI, 16-digit IMEISV, with or without spaces and hyphens.
